The Camping Barn is ideal for a group stay.
The camping barn is on the edge of the Brecon Beacons National Park, near Talgarth. It adjoins an old apple orchard on an organic Farm. Open all year round it is a warm and comfortable space to come back to after a long hike in the Hills, delight in making food and eating at the long table. Warm, dry and comfortable the barn is equipped with 10 camping beds, a long table, kitchen facilities and a large wood burner, this is the perfect place for the larger family group to stay - just bring your own bedding!
Access to and from the Camping Barn is through the Orchard.
There are board games, local guide books and OS maps for our guests to use during their stay.

The hot showers (just 50p, change available from the house) and toilets are a short walk from the camping barn. These facilities are well maintained and shared with our orchard campers.

Zero Waste Policy
To discourage the purchasing of single use plastics we are pleased to operate a Zero Waste Policy.
This means that campers at Lower Porthamel should aim to keep waste to a minimum as they have to leave the campsite with what they bring, including food waste, bottles and rubbish of all types. With the exception of nappies and sanitary products, which we cater for.
Zero Waste camping is a great way to cut down on single use plastic consumption and other landfill waste by purchasing alternative recyclable products for your camping trip.
